BAFBunker Adjustment Factor
Oil surcharge that covers the increasing fuel prices. BAF is based on the shipping lines’ fuel prices
CAFCurrency Adjustment Factor
Currency fee to cover the devaluation of the currency representing the main part of the freight. The fee is determined by the shipping lines and is a percentage of the main freight
PSSPeak Season Surcharge
Surcharge paid per container from August to November for containers from Asia to Europe.
Heavy SurchargeSurcharge put on especially heavy 20’ containers from the Far East. The surcharge varies from harbour to harbour
Low Sulphur SurchargeSulphur surcharge on all vessels crossing The Baltic Sea, Kattegat, Skagerrak, The North Sea and The English Channel
