| BAF | Bunker Adjustment Factor Oil surcharge that covers the increasing fuel prices. BAF is based on the shipping lines’ fuel prices |
| CAF | Currency Adjustment Factor Currency fee to cover the devaluation of the currency representing the main part of the freight. The fee is determined by the shipping lines and is a percentage of the main freight |
| PSS | Peak Season Surcharge Surcharge paid per container from August to November for containers from Asia to Europe. |
| Heavy Surcharge | Surcharge put on especially heavy 20’ containers from the Far East. The surcharge varies from harbour to harbour |
| Low Sulphur Surcharge | Sulphur surcharge on all vessels crossing The Baltic Sea, Kattegat, Skagerrak, The North Sea and The English Channel |
